SEKO Logistics has been named among America’s fastest-growing private companies in the 35th annual Inc. 5000 ranking of the country’s most successful independent small businesses.
Overall, the 2016 list includes over 125 Transportation and Logistics companies. Chicago-headquartered SEKO was ranked in the top five T and L companies with annual revenues in excess of $200 million. With its annual sales of $527.5 million, SEKO was recognized for its three-year growth rate of 60%.
The prestigious annual business rankings produced by Inc. magazine, dedicated exclusively to owners and managers of growing private companies, looks at the performance of businesses in over 30 industries. These also include Advertising and Marketing, Business Services, Computer Hardware, Construction, Consumer Products and Services, Defense Contractors, Energy, Financial Services, Food and Beverage, Government Services, Insurance, Manufacturing, Retail and Telecommunications companies with aggregate revenues of $200 billion. SEKO was number 4,371 in the Inc. 5000, climbing from 4,606 in the 2015 rankings.
The Inc. 5000 list has become the hallmark of entrepreneurial success with companies such as Microsoft, Dell, Domino’s Pizza, Pandora, Timberland, LinkedIn, Yelp, Zillow and many other well-known names gaining their first national exposure as Inc, 5000 honorees. Inc. President and Editor-In-Chief, Eric Schurenberg, said: “No one makes the Inc. 5000 without building something great – usually from scratch. That’s one of the hardest things to do in business, as every company founder knows. But without it, free enterprise fails.”
William J. Wascher, President and CEO of SEKO Logistics, said: “The Inc. 5000 rankings pay tribute to some of the most innovative, entrepreneurial and, of course, fastest growing companies in America today and we are proud to have climbed even higher in the 2016 listing. To see the impressive growth rates of companies across such a diverse range of industry sectors is great news for the U.S. economy.”
This latest recognition comes within weeks of SEKO Logistics being recognized as the number one freight forwarding provider of information technology solutions in a survey of 4,725 qualified buyers of logistics and transportation services conducted by Peerless Research Group. It has also recently been honored with its third consecutive Top 10 ranking in Inbound Logistics’ annual and highly-respected Top 100 3PL Provider list, which evaluated the supply chain capabilities of nearly 300 companies and involved thousands of customers ultimately voting to choose the top 10.
