Chicago, USA - US East Coast and Gulf Ports Labor Contract Extended to December 29th

**Customer Advisory**

The previous deadline of September 30th has been pushed back to December 29th after it was announced Thursday by the Director of the United States Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service.

The continuation of negotiations and the extension of the contract deadline until after the peak season should mean no labor-related supply-chain disruptions at US ports this year. SEKO will continue to monitor the situation as the talks continue, and will advise customers as to any updates to our contingency plans should the situation change before December 29th.
