Following our previous announcement of the Commercial Team promotions, SEKO is delighted to share another round of great news - this time focused on the Operations Team in the United States. These latest promotions and a new addition underscore SEKO’s commitment to operational excellence and the incredible talent driving the company forward in the Americas and beyond.
Ian Oliver Promoted to SVP, Operations - America
In his new role, Ian Oliver will oversee all freight forwarding and transportation operations, including air, ocean, domestic, and customs brokerage, as well as international ecommerce and returns. Oliver will also assume all Operations and P&L responsibilities for the United States Corporate Operations and act as the executive sponsor for all Strategic Partner Operations.
Oliver recently rejoined SEKO in November 2023 after a short yet impactful tenure at ICAT Logistics, where he led the central region. Before that, Oliver spent five years with SEKO leading domestic product and operations, most recently serving as Vice President of North American Operations. His career also includes leadership roles at ALG Worldwide Logistics, XPO Logistics, and AIT Worldwide, giving him unique insights into the hybrid model that has been pivotal to SEKO’s growth in the U.S.
Justin Horwitz Promoted to Senior Director, Domestic Product
As Senior Director, Domestic Product, Justin Horwitz will oversee Operations, Domestic Processes, and the Domestic P&L in the USA.
Since joining SEKO in 2020, Horwitz has excelled in multiple roles, from sales and operations to pricing and even helping sponsor and manage several clients on the Domestic side. Prior to SEKO, Horwitz held managerial roles at XPO and Graf Air Freight. His hands-on approach and ability to collaborate across teams have been instrumental in growing SEKO’s domestic product. The company is excited to see Horwitz continue driving growth and innovation in this expanded role.
Wes Hinz Promoted to Senior Director, Strategic Partners (SPs) and Business Development
In the newly created role of Senior Director, SPs and Business Development, Wes Hinz will work closely with SEKO’s SPs across sales, operations, and corporate support functions to foster collaboration, drive growth, and strengthen partnerships.
Hinz brings a wealth of relevant experience to this new position. In addition to holding leadership roles at DHL, Overnight, and Southwestern Motor, where he managed service centers, terminals, and labor relations, Hinz was also previously an SP owner. His unique perspective from both the operational and ownership sides of the business make him the ideal person to spearhead this effort. Along with his expanded responsibilities, Hinz will continue to support the west region for the Domestic BU.
SEKO looks forward to the impact Hinz will have in driving the growth of the company’s SPs while enhancing collaboration and corporate support.
