Lila Landis channels years of expertise to her work with SEKO Logistics

FORT WORTH, TX, March 12, 2024, Lila Landis has been inducted into Marquis Who’s Who. An accomplished, global compliance leader with a proven track record of success spanning more than 15 years, Ms. Landis excels as the Chief Compliance Officer of SEKO Logistics. In this capacity, she leads the compliance program, which oversees TSA compliance, supply chain security, export compliance, and more. Likewise, she ensures that companies comply with regulations by Customs and Border Protection, the Department of State, the Department of Commerce, and various governing agencies. As the head of SEKO’s compliance globally, including the Asia Pacific, European, Middle East, and African regions, she remains up-to-date on regulatory matters. She assesses their impact on the company and its clients. Similarly, she created a global health and safety program covering over 40 countries, improving safety for SEKO’s employees and contractors. Due to her considerable knowledge, Ms. Landis contributed to numerous publications, including, “Export Controls and Impact on Supply Chain Capacity,” “Free Trade is Not Free: The Costs of Trade Compliance for Businesses” and “On the Front Lines: Brokers and Freight Forwards as Your Partners in Compliance.”

Before obtaining her current role with SEKO Logistics, Ms. Landis worked as the Senior Manager of Global Transportation for Lockheed Martin Aeronautics, Manager of the F-35 Integration Team at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics, and the Senior Manager of Global Trade and Empowered Official for PolyOne. During the early stages of her career, she also gained valuable expertise in compliance management with such companies as Rexnord, Transformer Protector Corporation, Champion Technologies, and Tesco Corporation. An expert in her field, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Business and Management from Alverno College. Subsequently, Ms. Landis received an MBA in global business with a concentration in management from the University of Houston-Victoria, a U.S. Customs Broker License, and a security clearance. Additionally, she is a Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional International (CCEP-I) and a Certified U.S. Export Compliance Officer (CUSECO®).

Driven to remain abreast of changes in the field, Ms. Landis aligns herself with the National Association for Small Business International Trade Education, the Air Forwarders Association, Women in Sanctions Network, the Society for International Affairs, and the International Compliance Professionals Association. In conjunction with her work, she dedicates herself to the Bauer College of Business’s Women in Leadership Program, the Dallas-Fort Worth ICPA DATA Group, which she founded, and the WorldECR Industry Panel.

Given her considerable achievements, Ms. Landis was named an Outstanding Student through the University of Houston-Victoria and received the You Made a Difference Award through PolyOne Corporation in 2016. More recently, she earned the Bronze Award, Spotlight Award, and Take a Bow Award from Lockheed Martin. While her career has been filled with highlights, she takes the most pride in her ability to mentor and guide individuals toward leadership roles. Though hard work and dedication have brought her far in her career, she credits her success to her leaders at Lockheed Martin and PolyOne. In the coming years, Ms. Landis intends to create a comprehensive university trade compliance curriculum.
